RESCUE REMEDIES
LIVE FORUM

Our 3 websites www.rescueremedies.co.uk   www.staffierescue.co.uk   www.terrierrescue.co.uk are there to serve the general public as they browse the 'rescue world', window shopping and viewing dogs seeking new homes. We endeavour to make them user friendly and up-to-date. However, our websites are just our shop windows. If you want to come off the street and have a coffee with us, try on a jacket or have a new hairdo ... come inside to our

Yes, our Forum is like the department store ... it has its own perfume, you meet the people behind the counters and of course you can spend your money to your hearts delight, well our dogs delight, as it happens. But actually, this isn't a social club - you will find yourself making the coffee, pressing the jacket for display and bathing the dogs!

Our Forum is our 'DEN' and our members are our PACK! It houses all our dogs from the moment we agree to come forward for them - their preparation & assessment leading on to showing them as 'Ready for My Home'. Many dogs are homed, never needing to go on to the websites. Our Forum is live and up to the minute, whilst our websites are updated daily when we can, but weekly at least. Our dogs travel through different sections according to their homing status.

We also have a Rainbow Bridge section devoted to our friends who are sadly no longer with us.

The rest of the Forum is self explanatory, news, views and handiwork to be and being done. If you have ideas or suggestions, be clear you may be bringing them into fruition, with our support. We are not short of imagination or ideas, just time. Each one has their priorities. So download a poster and take it to your vets, volunteer time, transport a dog or offer some admin support.  Don't be fooled into thinking we are a big organisation. There are very few of us on the ground. We can't spoon-feed, but our dogs are lucky and very licky! We are here because we know our skills, love and resources can make a difference to homeless dogs. Our motto is 'Onwards and Upwards'!

If you join the Forum you can add to the activity, but please don't confuse the dog's individual thread with promises of a home, until you have completed our homing questionnaire and have that agreement with Dee. Dee manages all the family liaison and homing arrangements. The wrong comment can put a prospective family off by leading them into thinking that the dog has been 'promised'. Likewise, you could be put off by another's enthusiastic claim. So see if you'd like to become a member and pitch in.

Rescue Remedies is a drop in the ocean, a small raft in the ocean actually, but to the dogs who climb on board, it's their safety, sanctitude and LIFE. We need more supporters who appreciate our hard work, not to applaud us, but to join in and roll their sleeves up, lightening the load. Together we can then serve our dogs to the highest degree, perhaps speed their passage through to their forever homes and of course we will be able to help many more.
